Natasha Rothwell will star in Hometown, a new movie in the works at Netflix.

The comedy, which is being written by the Insecure star, was snapped up by Netflix last week, joining its growing roster of original feature projects. Rothwell is penning the comedy with Paul Pell and Michelle Lawler.

She is no stranger to Netflix, having appeared in Netflix Presents: The Characters, an anthology sketch show dedicated to showcasing rising stars. She will soon be seen in Sonic The Hedgehog and Wonder Woman 1984, and is also developing an HBO series. Otherwise, she is best known for the HBO series Insecure, partly based on Issa Rae’s web series, Awkward Black Girl. The series earned Rothwell an NAACP Image Award nomination.

Details about the film are under wraps, but Deadline reports that it is a two-hander. Otherwise, we know that Tina Fet and Eric Gurian will produce under their Little Stranger banner, with Pell and Rothwell also producing and Jeff Richmond on board as exec producer. Little Stranger previously produced the 2015 comedy Sisters, which was also written by Pell.
