Netflix will be looking back at The Movies That Made Us in a new documentary series.

A spin-off from The Toys That Made Us, the shoe will continue that programme’s shrewdly winning combination of insightful trivia and sheer nostalgia. That blend has seen The Toys That Made Us renewed for a third season coming later this year, and now, has inspired a companion show.

Netflix announced the show, fittingly, at Comic-Con last weekend, the height of entertainment industry merchandise and commerce. It will look back at four key films in its opening run: Die Hard, Home Alone, Dirty Dancing and Ghostbusters.

Netflix and The Nacelle Company, the brains behind the hit docu-series, The Toys That Made Us, are bringing you a new, equally deep nostalgic dive into pop-culture that entertained the masses, reads the official synopsis from Netflix. The Movies That Made Us will have you cheering on John McClane and Kevin McCallister in the Christmas Eve battles of their lives. It will have you dancing the night away with Johnny and Baby, while tapping in to the supernatural with a team of ghost-busting scientists.

Nacelle founder and CEO Brian Volk Weiss will direct the series, and also serves as Executive Producer opposite Cisco Henson, Ben Frost and Jay Chapman.
