The Rings of Power: Amazon reveals new Lord of the Rings series trailer

“The skies are strange…” That’s the sound of a new teaser trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which Amazon has exclusively unveiled for Amazon Prime members.

The 60-second sneak peek is available a first-look for Prime members for 48 hours from 6th July, teasing an ominous sign in the night sky that raises questions for the inhabitants of Middle-earth. Amazon has also surprised Prime members from around the world with an opportunity to attend the London Global Premiere of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power in August.

The series, which premieres on 2nd September, takes us back to JRR Tolkien’s fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history, thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil in Middle-earth.

From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains and the forests of the elf-capital of Lindon to the island kingdom of Númenor, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.
