Amazon brings one of the most anticipated US series to UK screens this month, with Hacks finally making its debut on Prime Video. It leads a month that includes a Chris Pine and Thandiwe Newton thriller and a Josh Brolin Western.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Amazon Prime Video UK in April 2022:

Luxe Listings Sydney: Season 2 – 1st April

Amazon goes all Selling Sunset once again with the second chapter of its reality series, which follows elite real estate agents as they negotiate multi-million-dollar deals in one of the most competitive real estate markets in the world: Sydney, Australia.

Hacks: Season 1 – 1st April

The Emmy-winning HBO Max comedy finally finds a UK home. It explores the dark mentorship that forms between Deborah Vance (Jean Smart), a legendary Las Vegas comedian, and an entitled, outcast 25-year-old (Hannah Einbinder). Deborah Vance has blazed a trail through the male-dominated comedy scene for decades, hustling her way into a prime Las Vegas residency while simultaneously cultivating a successful brand of luxury items and endorsements. But after the casino owner threatens to pull back on her nights in favour of younger acts, Deborah’s manager Jimmy pitches another one of his clients, recently outcast television writer Ava, to help freshen up her set.

Joe Bell – 1st April

Mark Wahlberg stars in this drama about a small town, working class father who embarks on a solo walk across the USA to crusade against bullying after his son was tormented in high school for being gay. Based on a true story.

I, Robot – 1st April

Will Smith is on charismatic form in Alex Proyas’ underrated sci-fi thriller inspired by Isaac Asimov’s writing.

Speed – 2nd April

Hotshot bomb specialist Keanu Reeves goes for a wild ride when a city bus is rigged with a speed-sensitive bomb.

All the Old Knives – 8th April

Based on the 2015 novel of the same title by Olen Steinhauer, the modern-day espionage tale follows Henry (Chris Pine) as he investigates Celia (Thandiwe Newton), a past flame from their days as CIA intelligence officers in Vienna, who is now under suspicion of having been a double agent. Using flashbacks to weave together multiple timelines, All the Old Knives peels back the layers of their past romance and exposes the truth behind a terrorist attack they were unable to stop.

Outer Range: Season 1 – 15th April

Starring Josh Brolin, the eight-episode series follows Royal Abbott, a rancher fighting for his land and family, who discovers an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness. At the onset of the series, the Abbotts are coping with the disappearance of daughter-in-law Rebecca. They are pushed further to the brink when the Tillersons (the gaudy owners of the neighbouring profit-driven ranch) make a play for their land. An untimely death in the community sets off a chain of tension-filled events, and seemingly small-town, soil-bound troubles come to a head with the arrival of a mysterious black void in the Abbotts’ west pasture. Created by Brian Watkins, the series is a fable about how we grapple with the unknown.

Bang Bang Baby: Season 1 – 28th April

Created by Andrea Di Stefano, this crime drama set in Milan in the late 80s tells the story of a shy, insecure teenager Alice – played by Arianna Becheroni – who becomes the youngest member of the mafia, not for money, ambition or the desire of power, but to win the love of her father.

I Love America – 29th April

Lisa is an eternal bachelor who decides to settle things with love by leaving Paris for Los Angeles.
