What’s coming soon to Amazon Prime Video in November 2021?

Staff Writer

Amazon is stepping up its game this November, with the debut of its fantasy epic The Wheel of Time – but there’s plenty of other exclusives and acquisitions on offer, from a Liam Neeson thriller and a Chippendale reality series to a sporting biopic, a volley of tennis tournaments and a new collection of stand-up specials from London’s Soho Theatre.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Amazon Prime Video UK in November 2021:

ATP Rolex Paris Masters – 1st November

The Rolex Paris Masters is the ninth and final ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, running until 7th November. In 2020, Daniil Medvedev defeated Alexander Zverev in three sets to win his first Rolex Paris Masters title. The Russian will be back to defend it.

The Green Hornet – 2nd November

The Green Hornet changed comic book hands multiple times during its run, but Michel Gondry stamps his one-off personality all over this madcap blockbuster, which lets Seth Rogen do his funny thing while still punching people in the face. Daft turns from Christoph Waltz and James Franco complete the entertainment – while enjoyably OTT editing makes the visuals as entertaining as everything else.

John Wick: Chapter 2 – 2nd November

John Wick’s kick-ass action sequel is armed with a lethal sense of humour.

The Marksman – 5th November

Liam Neeson and Katheryn Winnick star in this thriller about a rancher on the Arizona border who becomes the unlikely defender of a young Mexican boy desperately fleeing the cartel assassins who’ve pursued him into the USA.

Tampa Baes: Season 1 – 5th November

This eight-episode Amazon Original unscripted series follows a young group of lesbian friends in Tampa Bay, an ever-growing gay hotspot on the Florida shoreline.

Soho Theatre Live: Season 2 – 5th November

The second in Amazon’s collaborations with London’s Soho Theatre will feature another range of stand-up comedy specials, including Sindhu Vee, Saraj Keyworth, Keiran Hodgson, Nina Conti, Jordan Brookes, Catherine Bohart, Kai Samra, Jessica Fostekew, Desiree Burch and Janine Harouni.

WTA Upper Australia Ladies Linz – 6th November

A firework of professional women’s tennis is what fans can expect from the 31st edition of this tournament, which runs until 12th November. Reigning US Open champion Emma Raducanu will be joined by eight top 50 players in the tournament, with superstar Simona Haleps also accepting a wildcard entry into the contest.

2021 WTA Finals – 10th November

Iga Swiatek, Garbiñe Muguruza and Paula Badosa have qualified for the 2021 WTA Finals, which take place in Guadalajara. The trio will join Aryna Sabalenka, Barbora Krejcikova, Karolina Pliskova and Maria Sakkari in the singles field, leaving one qualification place remaining following Ashleigh Barty’s withdrawal.

Ad Astra – 10th November

Brad Pitt is magnificent in James Gray’s profound and visually sumptuous sci-fi.

Always Jane: Season 1 – 12th November

This documentary series is an intimate and unguarded look at transgender teenager Jane Noury and her family as she prepares to leave home for college.

Curse of the Chippendales – 12th November

The muscular male dancers of the Chippendales captured the hearts and dollars of the 1980s. But even as crowds swelled, the beefcakes and businessmen behind the phenomenon plunged into lives of drugs, paranoia, and murder.

Lioness: The Nicola Adams Story – 12th November

A feature-length biographical documentary of Nicola Adams OBE, the double Olympic and WBO female boxing champion, and the first woman to ever represent England in boxing.

Doctor Sleep – 17th November

As unexpected as it is mature, this sequel to The Shining is a thoughtful exploration of grief and trauma.

The Wheel of Time: Season 1 – 19th November

Based on Robert Jordan’s bestselling fantasy novels, the series is set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine, a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organisation called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity. Rosamund Pike stars as Moiraine. The first three episodes launch at once, with the remaining episodes then arriving weekly on Fridays until the finale on 24th December.

Everybody Loves Natti – 19th November

This six-episode docuseries follows Dominican reggaeton superstar Natti Natasha

Steve Jobs – 21st November

Sorkin and Danny Boyle team up for this gripping portrait of a man and a machine that shaped the 21st century.

Hanna: Season 3 – 24th November

Season 3 continues the journey of the extraordinary young woman, played by Esmé Creed-Miles, who was created by the sinister organisation Utrax and trained to be an assassin. Hanna (Creed-Miles) is now secretly trying to destroy Utrax from the inside and free herself from its grasp with the help of her previous nemesis, former-CIA agent Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos). Together they have coerced high-ranking Utrax agent John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney) into aiding their mission, but her fellow young assassins, Sandy (Áine Rose Daly) and Jules (Gianna Kiehl), and new foes are starting to suspect Hanna’s plot. As Hanna moves closer to her goal, she begins to uncover not only a world-changing agenda but the true power behind Utrax that stands between her and freedom.

Ray Liotta joins the cast for Season 3 as Gordon Evans, a respected former military man and intelligence operative who wields incredible insider power. Evans sees himself as a visionary with a rigid moral code, a true patriot who will do what needs to be done to protect his country.
