What’s coming soon to Amazon Prime Video in October 2020?
Staff Writer
With The Walking Dead’s Season 10 finale on the horizon, Amazon is getting in the zombie spirit too with the debut of spin-off series The Walking Dead: World Beyond. That horror mood continues later in the month with the debut of four new original films co-produced with Blumhouse – not to mention, just in time for Halloween, spooky comedy series Truth Seekers from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
Here’s what’s coming soon to Amazon Prime Video UK in October 2020:
Eddie the Eagle – 1st October
Dexter Fletcher’s film about the real life British skier who became an unlikely sporting legend is irresistibly feel-good stuff.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond – 4th October
Following the success of The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, the new series is co-created by Scott M. Gimple, with Matt Negrete on board as co-creator and showrunner. The series will star Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston and Nico Tortorella. It will focus on the first generation raised in the zombie apocalypse. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Episodes will arrive weekly following their US debut.
Inglourious Basterds – 2nd October
Tarantino’s stylish, striking revision of world history is impressive but uneven.

Nocturne – 13th October
Written and Directed by Zu Quirke it whisks us away to the halls of an elite arts academy, where a timid music student begins to outshine her more accomplished and outgoing twin sister when she discovers a mysterious notebook belonging to a recently deceased classmate.
The Personal History of David Copperfield – 16th October
Armando Iannucci’s quick-witted, modern period drama is an absolute delight.
Fleabag: Season 2 – 8th October
Because who doesn’t want an excuse to catch up with Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s dry-witted, angry, cash-strapped, grief-riddled, porn-watching eponymous young woman once again?

A team of part-time paranormal investigators team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see. However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon.
Pegg and Frost head up an impressive cast that includes Malcolm McDowell, Samson Kayo, Susan Wokoma, Emma D’Arcy, Julian Barratt, Kate Nash, Morgana Robinson and the actor Kevin Eldon.
