Staff Writer

Apple TV+ is stepping up its streaming game this year, with a slew of new and returning originals confirmed for April and May – catch up with the latest news here. But that means there’s still a bit of wait for Apple’s next big series, with March instead dominated by the Russo brothers’ new film, Cherry. Fortunately, there are still weekly episodes of For All Mankind and Servant to fill in the gaps.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Apple TV+ in March 2021:

Doug Unplugs: Part 1 – 2nd April

Hailing from DreamWorks Animation and based on Dan Yaccarino’s books, Doug Unplugs follows a young robot named Doug who senses there’s more to life than just the facts. While other robots plug in for their daily download, curious Doug unplugs and journeys into the human world, and with his best friend Emma, experiences its wonders firsthand. The voice cast includes Brandon James Cienfuegos, Kyrie McAlpin, Eric Bauza, Mae Whitman, Leslie David Baker and Becky Robinson. After Part 1 premiered in November last year, Episodes 8 to 13 arrive in one go.

The Mosquito Coast – 30th April

Based on Paul Theroux’s best selling novel, The Mosquito Coast follows the dangerous journey of a radical idealist and brilliant inventor, Allie Fox, who uproots his family for Mexico when they suddenly find themselves on the run from the US government. Adapted by Luther writer Neil Cross, the seven-episode series stars Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman.

For All Mankind: Season 2 – Weekly

For All Mankind picks up a decade on from Season 1. It’s the height of the Cold War and tensions between the United States and the USSR are at their peak. Ronald Reagan is president and the greater ambitions of science and space exploration are at threat of being squandered as the US and Soviets go head-to-head to control sites rich in resources on the moon. Episodes arrive on Fridays, until the finale on 23rd April.
