What’s leaving Sky and NOW TV in April / May 2019?

Easter is upon us, and in between trying to binge on Game of Thrones, take care not to miss some of the other top shows and movies disappearing from Sky and NOW TV, as licences expire and aren’t renewed for the immediate future.

This April, Sky Cinema is waving goodbye to old musical classics, modern animated gems, two impressive blockbusters and one of the most violent movies in recent memory.

This coming month is your last chance to stream the following:

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs – 24th April

You may have seen meteor showers, but we bet you’ve never seen a MEATIER shower.

Brawl In Cell Block 99 – 25th April

Vince Vaughn is disturbingly good in this exceedingly violent thriller from S Craig “Bone Tamahawk” Zahler, which sees a recovering alcoholic and religious man sent to prison – only to be blackmailed into killing off an inmate in the high-security wing.

West Side Story – 30th April

Romeo and Julie gets the musical treatment, as Natalie Wood and Richard Beymer play two star-cross’d lovers in 1950s New York, caught between two warring gangs. From the whip-smart direction to the ear-worming songs, Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim’s is a treat guaranteed to get your fingers clicking.

War For The Planet Of The Apes – 9th May

Andry Serkis reprises his remarkable motion capture performance as Caesar, as the rebooted Apes franchise returns for a rousing, moving, thrilling final chapter.

Fast & Furious 8 – 13th May

Big, dumb and obvious, Fast & Furious 8 proves it still has enough fuel to drive boredom away at high speed.
